We dashed up the coast 500km for some crazy reason that still escapes me and ended the sprint at Barn Hill Station. I think because it was a monotonous drive but maybe we should have broken it up. A working cattle station and great spot at the end of eighty mile beach. There were plenty of caravans and trailers in its large camping ground and we were fortunate to get a good, more secluded spot near the beach.
The kids had great fun getting sandy. We watched spectacular sunsets from the fiery red cliffs overlooking the beach. We swam in the warm and gentle ocean. There were great walks at low tide when ragged, rocky formations were exposed. We even caught up with Brigid and Nick on the last evening there.
