Day 154 The Pebbles August 30th – Camoonweal August 31st

From The Pebbles it was a short journey to the Three Ways Roadhouse with its expensive diesel before heading eastwards onto the Barkly Highway. This road also known as the Overlander Route, once a famous cattle road, would take us 1500km from the Australian outback, across the Great Diving Range to the busy coast of Queensland.

Into Queensland!

We drove through endless flat grazing lands before stopping at a free camping spot outside the small town of Camoonweal. There, we parked at a terrific spot by the river with plenty of time to enjoy the sun go down while admiring the wildlife.
