Another
long drive day allowed us to reach Carnarvon National Park by the
early afternoon. This is one of the biggest and most popular parks in
Queensland - the highlight of which is Carnarvon Gorge and the
aboriginal rock art on display.
We manage to fit in a series of
shorter walks which gave us a flavour of the park but didn't get the
time to do the 22km of walks so missed some of the more spectacular
sites.
