Day 155 Camoonweal – Mount Isa – Clem Walton Park August 31st – September 1st

Another driving day travelling east, stopping at Mount Isa to visit the excellent display at the Outback at Mt Isa. The mining town's rich history was explained very well with a look, for instance at the rivalry between mine side and town side.

We finished the day camping at Clem Walton Park. This turned out to be another excellent free spot and we set up for the night by the billabong, in plenty of space, surrounded by majestic gum trees and plenty of wildlife to keep us company.
