Day 71 – Coronation Beach – Kalbarri June 12th
We travelled further northward looking for some respite from the wind and travelled on to Kalbarri not knowing what exactly to expect. It turned out to be a WA version of the Great Ocean Drive in Victoria, with dramatic cliffs and crashing waters below. Kalbarri was certainly a very pretty town with a pretty bay. We camped at the Tudor camp ground which was ok with a semi working camp-kitchen. We camped early and headed out to the tour some of the sights as there was too much to do in a single day and focused on the stops south of Kilbarri for the first day which was mainly costal views.; with names such as Mushroom Rock, Rainbow Alley, Natural Bridge and Eagle Gorge.

Kalbarri is one of my favourite places.
ReplyDeleteThey used to have pelican feeding.
If you have time, and the weather is nice and the sun us shining to bring out the rock colours, I recommend taking a cruise up the Murchison or going out to the Loop.
Blessings,
