After going to bed we were woken early in the night as the winds picked up and battered our tent. I had to get up before dawn and secure the tent with more guy-ropes and pegs. We ended up packing the tent early in the morning as the wind worsened, with the tropical roof having been partially blown off.
It was Jordan's birthday today, and he turned the very important age of 12. Now he has no excuses for not doing his chores! Chris and Bevan, our new WA friends kindly came over and gave Jordan a birthday cake. As it was windy, we ended up having breakfast in the caravan – thanks Chris!
Then we headed south to Port Lincon. Our fuel was running low, so it was a race between our consumption and the tarmac as we inched our way to our next fuel stop. Would we make it?
