With the weather calming down, with intermittent showers, is was time to move on. We travelled north along the coast, passing by Coffin Bay and headed into Streaky Bay. On the way we passed some terrific rock formations called Murphy's Haystacks

In Streaky Bay, we stayed at their Foreshore Caravan Park next to the water. Camping next to the camp kitchen, we had a quiet evening planning upcoming trip across the Nullarbor.

When packing up camp, we did our obligatory checks and found that one of the wheels had gone flat! Adrian, a grey nomad, took pity on my pitiful attempts to jack up the tyre and got out his box of tools and lent a hand. He showed us the benefits of owning a trolley jack – mental note to buy one! Also, he showed us how to use our puncture kit, he found and took out the nail that caused the problem, and filled the hole left behind with some rubbery substance in the kit. Using the puncture kit saved us from having to change the tyre and use our spare. Thanks Adrian!
After learning our lesson for the day, it was time to head up further north to Ceduna before hitting the Nullabor.
